QuickSnap is a local-first macOS tool: You can use it to capture a window, selection, or full screen, add lightweight markup, and copy the result to the clipboard or save it to a folder you choose. By using the app, you agree to follow these terms and applicable laws.

1. Acceptance and scope

These terms are an agreement between you and the developer of QuickSnap (MoreFun.mobi) regarding your use of the QuickSnap macOS app and related product pages. By downloading, installing, opening, or using QuickSnap, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.

If you do not agree to any part of these terms, please stop using QuickSnap. If you use the app on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have the necessary authorization and the authority to bind that organization to these terms.

Apple and Mac App Store terms may also apply to app download, installation, and distribution. If those third-party terms conflict with these terms only for their own services, the applicable third-party terms will control for that part.

2. Service

1. Capture and selection

QuickSnap provides automatic window detection, desktop area selection, and full-screen capture. Availability depends on your macOS version, display state, target window, and Screen Recording permission.

2. Editing and output

QuickSnap provides lightweight markup tools such as rectangles, ellipses, arrows, freehand drawing, text, and mosaic. It supports copying the result to the clipboard, saving as PNG or JPEG, or copying and saving at the same time.

3. Settings and permissions

You can manage shortcuts, launch-at-login, output preferences, save format, save folder, language, and Screen Recording permission guidance in Settings. No account registration is required to use the app.

4. Service changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue some features for product maintenance, security, legal, or technical reasons. For major changes, we will provide notice through the product page or other reasonable means where required by applicable law.

3. User rules

You may use QuickSnap as long as you comply with these terms and applicable laws. You must not:

  1. Use QuickSnap to capture, process, or distribute content that violates laws or infringes another person's privacy, reputation, trade secrets, or intellectual property rights;
  2. Record another person's screen, chat content, account information, or protected internal materials without lawful authorization;
  3. Bypass the macOS sandbox, Screen Recording permission, or other security mechanisms, or use the app for unauthorized access;
  4. Reverse engineer, disassemble, decompile, or otherwise attempt to obtain non-public source code, except where expressly permitted by applicable law;
  5. Insert malicious code, interfere with the app or website, or scan, stress test, attack, or otherwise damage the service;
  6. Remove copyright, trademark, or other rights notices from the app or its resources.

You are responsible for the device, account, save location, and screenshot content you handle with QuickSnap. Before sharing screenshots, please check whether they contain passwords, keys, personal information, or other content that should not be made public.

4. Screenshot content and local files

Screenshot content you capture, edit, and save through QuickSnap generally belongs to you or the relevant rights holder. QuickSnap does not acquire ownership of that content because you use the app, and does not upload it to our servers.

The permissions you grant QuickSnap are limited to completing screenshot and output actions you actively start. You are responsible for ensuring you have the necessary rights to captured content, and for the resulting saving, use, sharing, and disclosure.

Local files, clipboard content, and app settings may be lost if you delete files, clear the clipboard, uninstall the app, experience disk failure, change system permissions, or encounter other device issues. Please back up important screenshots as needed.

5. Privacy

QuickSnap handles relevant information according to the Privacy Policy. In summary, the app does not require an account, does not create cloud screenshot history, does not upload screenshots, and does not require Accessibility permission or continuous keyboard monitoring.

When you use Screen Recording, folder access, and clipboard output, you should understand that these system capabilities are used to capture screen content, save files, and write output respectively. You can revoke the relevant permissions in macOS System Settings at any time.

6. Intellectual property

The QuickSnap app, interface, icon, copy, website design, source code, and related resources are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Except for the use expressly permitted by these terms, the related rights belong to the QuickSnap developer or the corresponding rights holders.

These terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use QuickSnap on compatible Macs that you own or control. Without written permission, you may not copy, rent, sell, sublicense, distribute, or create derivative products based on QuickSnap.

If you believe content in the website or app infringes your lawful rights, please contact us at mobi.morefun@foxmail.com and provide enough information for us to verify the claim.

7. Disclaimers and responsibility limits

1. Provided as is

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, QuickSnap is provided "as is" and "as available." We will make reasonable efforts to maintain the app, but we do not guarantee that it will always be uninterrupted, error-free, compatible with every display, or compatible with every third-party window.

2. System and output limitations

Screenshot results may be affected by macOS permissions, system version, display scaling, target app protection mechanisms, window state, disk space, folder permissions, and clipboard state. If capture, output, or files fail because of these factors, please first check the app prompts and system settings.

3. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for losses caused by your violation of these terms, lack of authorization for captured content, failure to safeguard local files, system or third-party service failures, force majeure, or other reasons outside our reasonable control. Nothing in this section excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.

8. Changes and termination

We may update these terms for legal, product, or security reasons. Updated terms will be published on this page with the date at the top. If you continue using QuickSnap, you accept the updated terms; if you do not agree, you should stop using and uninstall the app.

You may stop using QuickSnap and uninstall the app at any time. If you materially violate these terms or create risk to the app, website, developer, or others, we may limit or terminate the relevant service to the extent permitted by applicable law.

9. Governing law, disputes, and contact

These terms should be interpreted and enforced under applicable law. These terms do not exclude or limit rights granted to you by consumer protection, data protection, or other mandatory laws.

If a dispute arises from these terms or your use of QuickSnap, both parties should first try to resolve it through friendly communication. If it cannot be resolved, the dispute should be submitted to a court with jurisdiction or another legally available dispute resolution body.

If you have questions about these terms, please contact:

Email: mobi.morefun@foxmail.com

These terms are written for the current macOS version of QuickSnap. If the app adds accounts, cloud sync, online sharing, or other data processing features, we will update the related terms and privacy explanation before launch.
