QuickSnapIn short: QuickSnap does not require an account, does not create cloud screenshot history, does not upload screenshots, and does not continuously read your screen in the background. The app uses macOS Screen Recording permission only when you start a screenshot, and output stays on your Mac or in the clipboard you choose to use.
1. Scope
This policy applies to the QuickSnap macOS app, the QuickSnap product website, related documentation pages, and product support communications. The app developer and maintainer is identified in the website footer as MoreFun.mobi, and the contact email is mobi.morefun@foxmail.com.
This policy does not apply to Apple, the Mac App Store, your system browser, or other third-party services you access through links from QuickSnap. Please review those services' own privacy policies separately.
2. How we handle information
1. Screenshots and markup content
When you actively start a screenshot, QuickSnap captures the window, desktop area, or full-screen image you select, then processes the image, selection, and markup within the current screenshot session. Screenshots and markup are used for previewing, editing, copying, and saving, and are not uploaded to QuickSnap servers.
Screenshots may contain windows from other apps or third-party information. Before capturing, saving, or sharing, you should confirm that you have the right to handle that content and should cover passwords, keys, and other sensitive information when needed.
2. App settings
QuickSnap stores settings needed for app operation on your Mac, such as shortcuts, output preferences, PNG/JPEG format, ask-before-save behavior, language choice, and launch-at-login preference. These settings are stored through local macOS preferences and are not actively uploaded.
3. Save folder permission
When you choose a save folder, the app uses a macOS security-scoped bookmark to remember the folder access you granted. The bookmark is used only to access your chosen location when you save, and is not used to read or upload other files.
4. Clipboard
When you choose copy or copy-and-save, QuickSnap writes the current screenshot to the macOS system clipboard. The app does not read your existing clipboard content for product analytics.
5. Local diagnostic logs
To handle failures and help diagnose issues, the app may write diagnostic events to the local macOS unified log, such as error category, output action, display identifier, and current session identifier. Diagnostic logs do not include screenshot pixels, markup content, or saved file contents, and QuickSnap does not actively upload these logs.
3. Storage, deletion, and security
QuickSnap screenshots, markup, and app settings stay on your Mac by default. We do not provide cloud screenshot history, account sync, or remote file access. You can manage local data by deleting screenshot files, clearing app settings, or uninstalling the app.
The app uses the macOS sandbox and security-scoped file access mechanisms, and limits processing as much as possible to what is needed for screenshot capture, editing, copying, and saving. No device or software can guarantee absolute security, so please protect your Mac, user account, and saved screenshots appropriately.
If you actively contact us by email, the email content, attachments, and email address will be transmitted and stored by the email service you use. Please do not send passwords, private keys, identity documents, or other unnecessary sensitive information by email.
5. Your rights
Because QuickSnap primarily handles local data, you can manage these items directly on your Mac:
- View, change, or delete app settings;
- View, move, or delete saved screenshots;
- Clear screenshot content from the clipboard;
- Revoke Screen Recording permission in System Settings;
- Uninstall the app to stop using it and remove the app and its local data.
If you have actively emailed us, you can contact us at mobi.morefun@foxmail.com to request access, correction, or deletion of information contained in that email. To protect security, we may need to verify the requester's identity.
6. Children's information
QuickSnap is a general-purpose macOS tool and is not directed at children. It does not actively ask for names, ages, or other identity information. We do not knowingly collect children's personal information. If you believe we accidentally received children's information through support email, please contact us and we will handle deletion requests as required by applicable law.
7. Policy updates
We may update this policy because of product capabilities, legal requirements, or contact information changes. Updated versions will be published on this page with the updated date at the top. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide more prominent notice where required by applicable law.

QuickSnap's global shortcut is registered through macOS Carbon hotkeys. It does not require Accessibility permission, Input Monitoring, or keyboard event monitoring to continuously read your keyboard input.
If you deny Screen Recording permission, the app can still open Settings and show permission guidance, but it cannot complete screenshot operations that require screen content. You can change authorization in macOS System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen Recording.
Appendix: personal information collection list
